Compare Hosting

There isn’t anyway really to effectively compare hosting services because they all offer such different services and tools.

The basic thing to figure out is what you really need in a web host.

  • Do you know html, wordpress or how to do the technical aspects of creating a site? If you don’t you will need to learn how to create a website that is optimized for the search engines and readers.
  • Do you just want a site for friends and family? Then you could probably get away with having a free website. Checkout wordpress.com or weebly.com for a free website.
  • Do you want a website or blog that you can make money with really?
  • You will need instruction or help in doing so. Site Build it! has all of the information on how to do that.

If you know some about creating sites and want to use wordpress or an html editor to create a full website you might be interested in just plain hosting accounts. The two I use are ez-web-hosting.com and www.hostgator.com. These are some of the things to keep in mind when choosing hosting.

www.hostgator.com – offers cheap hosting so that you can set up multiple blogs or sites all on one site and pay one low monthly fee (under $10 a month). The thing is that they do not offer daily backup of your site so if something happens there is a high possibility that you could lose everything. You can backup on your own.

www.ez-web-hosting.com is a little more expensive and you can only have one site on one account (you can have additional sites on one site but you have to pay more each month for each domain.) The difference is that they will do daily backups of your site which could save your business one day.

Sites do go down at some time or another so be prepared.

The reason why I work with these three companies is because of the service that they provide. All of them are outstanding and will help you in everything that they can.
